Every
week, the TBBP continues to advance our knowledge about one
of California's most important estuaries. To support the health
and vitality of Tomales Bay and the surrounding watershed,
the TBBP continues to progress on its educational and scientific
mission - promoting ecological awareness and an understanding
of biodiversity.
Announcements
The
Tomales Bay Marine Station at Sacramento Landing is Open.
The station is the only marine facility for research on Tomales
Bay and is crucial to promoting many research and monitoring
studies on coastal resources. The facility provides short
term housing, office space, and access to ocean resources.
In conjunction with the other facilities of the Pacific Coast
Science and Learning Center, researchers can also access natural
resource data, museum collection archives, and laboratory
space to complete studies. Contact Ben Becker for more information:

The
Tomales Bay Watershed Council's Habitat Committee continues
its review of Biodiversity Inventory results and the development
of a "Species of Local Interest" list. The team
is building this tool as a means to prioritize conservation
strategies using a proactive, broad analysis. With their results,
resource managers will be better poised to act before crises
develop. For more information, contact Joseph Kinyon at joseph_kinyon@partner.nps.gov
